1. Who was your favorite character from the film? Why?

I really liked the both leads, Steve Biko´s character and Donald woods.
Their relation ship seemed much more real an honest than the one presented in Goodbye Bafana, between Mandela and Gregory. It feels much more earned as Donald woods character actually suffers from sticking out his neck for the good treatment of black people, i think his "redemption" works a bit better here, sacrificing himself for a cause he really does not have an incentive to join practically.

2. What was your favorite scene from the film? Why?

My favourite scene has to be the courtroom scene, it was a long one, and kept me intereset all the way. I really like the verbal sparring and battling that takes place in this settings, and the willingess of spirit it takes to defy the entire insitution right in the middle of their turf, and in front of all the people to hear.

3. How does the film differ from the other films? Use the article from The Guardian to help you

This movie is not that interested in showing the polital parties involved in the conflict. I think that has an interesting argument to be made, like it is said in the article, the ANC and other groups may be at fault for appropiating for themselves the struggle to end apartheid, when it was a much more joint effort of all the southafrican black population.
